Over the last 30 or so more and more research is coming out on the benefits of mindfulness and the impact it can have on people’s well being. It’s been shown to help individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use. In my family therapy practice it has been helpful for couples to use mindfulness to ton down reactivity. Interestingly enough, mindfulness is also being used at the corporate level to increase productivity.
